To use Brokermate 360 online, you'll need to make sure you have:

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. (To open generated reports on your computer)

Java and Javascript

To enable java and javascript in your web browser

  1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click Custom Level... to bring up the Security Settings.
  4. Under Java>Java Permissions enable the High, Medium, or Low setting.
  5. Under Scripting, enable "Scripting of Java Applets."

Microsoft Java Virtual Machine for Internet Explorer

Go to Windows Update to download and install all needed "Critical Updates and Service Packs", which should include Java Virtual Machine. After re-booting your computer, run Brokermate360 Browser Check again to see if JVM was installed with your updates.

To enable ActiveX controls in your web browser:

  • Click on the Tools menu in Internet Explorer.
     
  • Click on the Internet Options item in the menu - a new window opens.
     
  • Click Custom Level... to bring up the Security Settings.
     
  • Under ActiveX Controls and Plugins Enable "Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls".
     
  • Enable "Download Signed ActiveX Controls."
     
  • Disable or prompt "Download Unsigned ActiveX Controls."
     
  • Disable or prompt "Initialize and Script ActiveX Controls Not Marked as Safe."
     
  • Enable both "Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins" and "Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting."
     
  • Under Scripting, enable "Active Scripting."
     
  • Scroll to the Downloads section of the list, and then, under Automatic prompting for file downloads, click Enable.

Cookies

To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 7.0

  1. Click on the Tools menu in Internet Explorer.
     
  2. Click on the Internet Options item in the menu - a new window opens.
  1. Click on the Privacy tab near the top of the window.
     
  2. Click on the Sites button - another window opens.
 
   
  1. Enter Mybrokermate.com in the text field and then click Allow. Mybrokermate.com will appear in the "Managed webisites" list below with a Setting of Always Allow
     
  2. Save changes by clicking OK in each window.
 
   
Also enable Session Cookies in your browser:  (AN INCORRECT SETTING WILL RESULT IN TIMEOUT ERRORS BEING EXPERIENCED)
  1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
     
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
     
  3. Select "Advanced"
  1. "Override automatic Cookie handling" must be selected
     
  2. Make sure “Accept” is selected for both “First-party Cookies” and “Third-party Cookies”.

Screen Resolution

To set your screen resolution:

  1. From your desktop, right-click and choose Properties.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. In the "Screen Area" section, move the slider pointer to 1024x768 pixels or higher, then select "Ok."
  4. A popup dialog box will appear asking for confirmation of your selection. Select "Ok" again. Your screen may flicker or go blank for a few seconds as it changes resolution. This is normal.
  5. A dialog box will then appear asking if you wish to keep this setting. Select "Yes."

  • Yes! You have the appropriate Acrobat Reader plug-in installed.
  • No. Click here and follow the instructions to install the Acrobat Reader plug-in. After installing it, return to the browser test page and try this test again.
